Fudge Cookies!

Fudge Cookies

I have to say these started as one cookie and quickly changed. First off I was thinking "I am getting rid of this Halloween candy one way or the other"... This brings me to my first round with theses fudge cookies. Fudge Cookies with Crushed Butterfinger candy. I was really excited about the batter, I knew it would be perfect for my second round - I just mixed in 1 c of dried cherries instead of butterfinger candy. Perfection I tell you!! The butterfinger was good for the kids but, this fudge batter was made for cherries!

1 c butter
1 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
1 1/4 c dark Hershey's Cocoa Powder
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 c crushed Butterfingers, crushed
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 and use cookie sheet with parchment paper (you can spray instead). In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Slowly add your eggs and vanilla, mix until well combined. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add flour mix to wet ingredients, next stir in crushed butterfingers and chocolate chips. Using a medium cookie scoop, drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes, they should still be soft in center. Allow cookies to cool on sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to wire rack to cook completely.
Makes almost 3 dz (mine are a little big)!!
Too many parties!! Lots of good food, go check them out!!
