Incredibly Easy Sugar Cookies

It's week 11!! Wow we only have one more week with all of these talented cookie bakers! I have seen some of the best recipes. Thanks Abby for hosting the Twelve Weeks of Christmas Cookies.

These were soooo easy and they were soooo good too. I am thinking you could use different flavors of cake mix too if you wanted (How about Chocolate Iced Cookies? Yum) The dough kept its shape and they were nice and even for decorating. Super easy sugar cookies.
1 bx French Vanilla Cake mix
1/2 c butter, softened - almost melted
1 lg egg
3 Tbsp flour
Mix everything together until it forms into a ball. Sprinkle with water if it's not holding together.
Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for about an hour.
Roll out your dough onto parchment or wax paper, it just makes it easier to roll and cut. Using your cookie cutters, cut out your shapes and transfer to baking sheet.
Bake at 350º for around 7 minutes. Do not over-bake them, just until they are dry on top but not brown.
Let cool. Makes about 12 - 18, just depends on your size of cookies.
Now decorate or ice to your hearts desire.

What did you use to decorate these? They're so pretty!

Lisa: Simple easy, just mixed powdered sugar, food coloring and enough water to make flowing icing and a stiffer icing.
