Angel Chicken

It must get it's name because it's so heavenly? Found this recipe over at Cleverlyinspired  - who I think found it in Midwest Living magazine. Go over and see how clever Tracie is. I threw this together in no time at all and using a crock-pot just freed me up to do the million other things that were on my list :)
4 skinless boneless chicken breast (about 1 1/2 lbs)
1 (8 oz) pkg of fresh button mushrooms, quartered
1 (6 oz) pkg of fresh shitake mushrooms, stems removed and caps sliced
1/4 c butter
1 (0.7 oz) envelope of Italian dry salad dressing mix
1 (10 3/4 oz ) can of condensed golden mushroom soup
1/2 c dry white wine
1/2 of an 8oz tub of cream cheese spread with chives and onions

Its pretty easy. Melt your butter in a saucepan, then add the Italian mix envelope. Now stir in the mushroom soup, wine, and cream cheese until fully combined and melted.
So far so good right? Just throw chopped mushrooms into the bottom of crock-pot, lay your chicken right over them and pour the melted sauce over the top of everything. Put lid on and cook on low temperature for 5 hours.
I served it over hot noddles with sweet peas. It was good and so easy.

Do you cook the chicken before putting it in the crock pot?

No Betty you don't have to cook the chicken before, it will cook and fall apart in the five hours it's in crockpot.
