PB Nutella Granola Bars

The Little One and I watched Giada make these last summer and have been wanting to make them since . Yesterday was the day.... first of all I used half peanut butter, half Nutella...we were low on PB.... Little One loves her PB.
Oh well, they were simple easy but totally looked too soft.  I just cooked them a little longer - about 25min total, then turned off oven and let them sit in there. After they cooled, I pressed them down with a little parchment paper and then threw them in the fridge to set up. They have a great taste and she LOVED them. I even packed a couple in her lunch today :D
veg cooking spray
1 egg white
1/2 c chunky peanut butter (we used smooth PB)
1/4 c honey
1/3 c brown sugar
1/2 c (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
2 c old fashioned oats
1/4 c slivered almonds, toasted (I didn't use almonds)
1/3 c mini choc chips
Preheat oven to 350º and position rack in middle of oven. Spray an 8x8" pan with cooking spray. Lay a piece of parchment paper in the pan, letting excess hang over sides, lightly spray the paper with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, using a hand beater, beat the egg white until frothy. Stir in peanut butter, brown sugar and honey. Add melted butter, oats and almonds. Stir to combine, then add your choc chips.
Using a rubber spatula, spread mix into prepared pan, pressing lightly to form an even layer. Bake until edges begin to brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for at least an hour. Press them down with a piece of parchment paper. I left them in fridge overnight and then cut them into little bars this morning.

**To toast almonds, arrange in a single layer on baking sheet, bake in a preheated 350º oven until lightly browned - about 8-10 minutes.

So, did you use a 1/4 cup each of pb and nutella? I don't see nutella in the ingredients. Looks delish! Thanks Suzy Quinn

Sorry everyone. Yes I used half PB and half Nutella but recipe is for only PB. I also added the forgotten brown sugar. Sorry, sometimes my fingers get ahead of me :)
