Fall = apples? Usually, huh? Found this recipe somewhere and loved it. Loved the caramel apple combo and they were super moist too. I added some melted caramel to top but they were perfect without that it. They would be incredible right out of the oven with a scoop of ice cream on top :)
1/2 c butter (melted and cooled)
1 1/ 2 c brn sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c unsweetened apple sauce
2 c flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking soda
2 medium apples (shredded or finely chopped)
1 c caramel bites
n a large bowl, cream together melted butter and brown sugar. Next add your eggs one at a time, making sure one is completely mixed before adding your next egg. Mix in vanilla and applesauce.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Mix into the wet mixture on low until batter is combined.
Stir in chopped apples and caramels by hand, now pour it all into your prepared pan. Bake @ 350º for 30-35 minutes. If you really love caramel, melt a few caramels and drizzled the top the your brownies with them :)
