Doing a 11 year old girls room over can be a pain! I know some of you have been there a couple of times. She is liking black and white these days - long gone are the pretty pinks. How long will this one last? Oh well..she will always be MY little girl, whether she likes it or not! :)

7UP Biscuits

I love when things look easy and turn out easy :) These looked so good and looked easy enough - 4 ingredients! I found them over at Steph's The Plain Chicken - go check her out . They were perfect. 2 c Bisquick mix 1/2 c sour cream 1/2 c 7up 1/4 c melted butter Preheat oven to 450º Cut sour cream into your Bisquick mix, then add 7up - it will make a soft dough. Now sprinkle your counter with a little Bisquick mix then add dough and pat it out. Melt butter and pour it into a 9" square baking pan. Cut your biscuits up and arrange them in pan on top of melted butter. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Linking up with: and Foodie Friday

Texas Peanut Patties

Everyone has memory candies, these are mine. Growing up in Texas, these patties were sold at the corner store for about 25 cents I think and I've always loved them but every year they get harder to find. Occasionally I will find them traveling around Texas...in little ice houses or Mom & Pop stores and even a gas station here and there. We always get them in San Antonio at The Mi Tierra Bakery every time we are up there and until now that was the only for-sure place that has always had them. I finally found a recipe that is so true to the original patty that I have to share. If you've ever had one you have to try to make these at home. You'll thank me later :) 2 1/2 c sugar 2/3 c light Karo syrup 1 c milk 2 1/2 c raw peanuts 4 tbsp butter 1 tbsp powdered sugar 4-5 drops of red food coloring Place sugar, syrup, milk and peanuts in a heavy pot, stir them to mix everything together. 3 Musketeer Bars - Mini's of course

I haven't been in the kitchen for six days and these have been on my list for awhile - glad I finally made them. Three ingredients! You can't beat that, huh? Very easy and their taste was super close to the real thing. 2 c semi sweet choc chips 1 (8oz) tub of Cool Whip (thawed but not melted) 2 c choc candy coating wafer melts - not Choc Bark (I got mine at Michaels but I know Hobby Lobby sells them also) Line a 8" square pan with wax paper. In medium bowl, melt choc chips in microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds. Stir and return to microwave for 30 more seconds at 50% power. If chocolate is still not melted completely - continue heating it at 10 second intervals at 50% until smooth. Let it cool a bit so you don't melt everything into a sludge. Using an electric mixer on high speed, beat your melted chocolate for 30 seconds. Add the Cool Whip to melted chocolate and beat just until combined and fluffy -30-60 seconds.
