Banana Split Ice Cream Sandwich Pie!

My good friend Lorie made this incredible easy ice cream sandwich pie for a party one hot summer. She made hers with all chocolate- chocolate ice cream sandwiches and chocolate syrup, etc. I just changed it up a bit, I used a springform pan instead of a 13x9" pan so you could see all the pretty layers. I made it more summery by using banana split ice cream sandwiches and lots of fruit. Yumm!

1 bx (12) banana split ice cream sandwiches
20 oreos (crushed)
1 tub Whip Cream (thawed)
2 bananas, sliced
1 pint strawberries, sliced
1 sm bottle Caramel ice cream topping
1 sm bottle Chocolate ice cream topping
maraschino cherries
chopped nuts (opt)
crushed pineapples (opt)
toasted coconut (opt)
graham crackers crumbs (opt)

Simple easy, just layer. I used a springform pan instead of a 13x9" pan. It makes for easier serving and looks prettier.
Melt your Oreos with about 3 tbsp of butter and press into your pan. Arrange ice cream sandwiches into pan, cut corner pieces to fill in all of the area. Cover Oreo layer evenly with thawed Cool Whip. Slice up your fruit and arrange it on the top of Cool Whip. Cover with plastic wrap and put into freezer for about 20 minutes.
Take out your ice cream cake and drizzle with caramel topping, then chocolate topping. At this point you can do another layer of sandwiches and repeat process if you want a high cake. If not just add toppings.
Top with whip cream, maraschino cherries, nuts, pineapples, graham crumbs and toasted coconut. You can really make it your own, add chopped up candy, different fruits, different ice cream...whatever you family likes. A nice way to cool off this summer.
Joining these parties!
