Funfetti Ice Cream!!

Here I go again...trying a wacky idea. Gotta love it. I saw this and HAD to try it. I am so glad I did. How easy and cool is mixing cake mix and cool whip? The kids loved it and by using these three ingredients, it stayed pretty lite. Here's the craziness.
1c Lite Cool Whip
2 c  2% milk
1 c Funfetti Cake Mix (or your favorite flavor)
Mix everything together in a medium bowl. Pour it into your ice cream maker and freeze according to machines directions. I added sprinkles to my mix during the end cause little ones loves them. This makes about 1 pint. We ate it immediately - soft serve style. This ice cream does freeze pretty solid once frozen, so just defrost it on high in microwave for about 30 seconds before serving it.
Try your own favorite cake mix, add choc chips, graham crumbs, cookies, fruit....maybe even real cake :)
This is the cake mix I used:
Moist Supreme

Hi Mickey!
Oh I wish I had an ice cream maker...this looks awesome
... are there any other ways to do this if you don't have the maker?

ohhhhh I hope so!

Sorry Maria, I have looked and I've only found the recipe changed by using eggs, heavy cream, etc but still they use an ice cream maker. it might be worth trying to just freeze it after its mixed. It's such a small amount of ingredients that it wouldn't hurt to try .
