Chocolate Twists

I had 1 leftover refrigerate pie crust from last cookie.....humm...what can I do with it?  I decided to go ahead and use it for another simple treat. This is what I came up with. I even made some with cinnamon and red sugar. Easy :)

1 refrigerate pie crust
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp butter, melted
1/4 c chocolate jimmies

Roll your crust into a rectangle, 12x10". baste the whole thing with your melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and jimmies. Cut pastry lenthwise with a sharp knife into 20 (1/2") strips. Cut crosswise into 3 (4") strips.
Heat oven to 350º. Twist each strip several times and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press the ends onto cookie sheet so they don't try to unravel on you. You can even use cinnamon/colored sugar for a different look.
Bake until light brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheet to cool on wire rack.

Great way to use leftover pie crust. I would have never thought about twisting them.

YUM and more YUM! LOVE how you used up the left-overs of pie crust. Next time I will know what to do with my spare pie crust. Thanks Mickey! :-)
