Girl Scout Cookie Shrimp

If you're like me, you are always looking for a new take on your old recipes. I came across this one and smiled. How fun! I know you all have Girl Scout cookies during this time of the year....... don't even try to lie...make these...it will make you smile. These would be great as an appetizer or pour them into a  big o bowl for a crowd. You'll love the sweet and spicy.
1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
5 Samoa Girl Scout cookies, finely chopped
2 tbsp flour
1/2 c Italian bread crumbs
1/2 c Panko bread crumbs
1/4 c unsweetened coconut flakes
1 Tbsp Tony Chacheres More Spice seasonings
1 lime
2 egg whites
Mix finely chopped cookies, flour, bread crumbs, coconut flakes and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Dip shrimp into egg whites then coat with cookie mix - I had to press shrimp into mix. Fry shrimp in vegetable oil until golden brown. Give them a squirt of that lime and eat em up.

Linking up to the party!

What a cool way to use the cookies. The shrimp must have been really delicious coated with them.

This is so creative! I've seen a lot of desserts using Girl Scout cookies, but it's about time they made their way into a savory dinner! How fun!
