Sour Cream Noodle Bake

Getting a meal on the table some days is a feat in itself - not tonight. This was easy, quick and yummy. Found this one over at Ree's and it looked liked something that would certainly be eaten in this house :) Another easy recipe for you busy bees out there.
1 1/4 lb ground chuck
1 can (15oz) tomato sauce (I used a jar of Bertolli's Tomato & Basil Sauce)
1/2 tsp salt
fresh ground pepper
8oz Egg Noodles
1/2 c sour cream
1 1/4 c small curd cottage cheese
1/2 c sliced green onions (more or less depending on your taste
1 c grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese (I added more cheese - 1 cup of Italian Blend shredded cheese)
Preheat oven to 350º
Brown your ground chuck in a large skillet, drain fat and add tomato sauce, 1/2 tsp salt and black pepper. Stir then simmer while to prepare the other ingredients.
Cook egg noodles until al dente (almost done). Drain and set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese. Add plenty of black pepper. Add to noodles and stir. Next add green onions - stir to mix everything together.
Now put it all together. In your 13x9" baking pan, layer 1/2 of your noodles, 1/2 of your meat mix and half of your cheese.Repeat layer and finish with cheese.
Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
