Taffy Apple Salad

I know we all have that marshmallow salad dish that comes around during the holidays. This will take its place. If you love apples and marshmallows...you will love this.
1 (16oz) can pineapple tidbits
4 c mini marshmallows
1 tbsp flour
1/2 c sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar (I left this out)
8 oz Whip Cream
1/2 c chopped pecans
2-3 c chopped un-peeled apples ( I used Granny Smiths)
chopped snicker candy bars (opt)
mini chocolate chips (opt)
Drain pineapples (reserve juice). Add marshmallows to your pineapple and set aside. Over a medium heat, combine reserved juice, flour, sugar, beaten egg and vinegar in a saucepan. Whisk until combined, cook until slightly thickened - stirring constantly. Let it cool until  room temperature.
Fold Whip Cream into cooled juice flour mix, then gently add pineapple apple mix. Refrigerate overnight. I have seen some people add chopped up Snicker candy bars...I can't see the harm in that :) I just sprinkled some mini chocolate chips over the top of mine.

This was a big hit today at our Thanksgiving Dinner. Everyone loves and I made it using the vinegar plus I put a Snickers bar in it. Great hit. Thanks
