Black Bottom Coconut Bars

Everybody loves Martha right? I know I do. Saw these and of course had to try them. They were pretty easy to throw together and I gotta say... they.... were.... good! Thanks Martha.
chocolate bottom:
1/2 c (1 stick) unsalted butter
1/2 c sugar
1 lg egg
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 c cocoa powder
1/4 c flour
coconut top:
2 lg eggs
3/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c flour
1 pkg (7oz) sweetened shredded coconut, plus 1/2 c for sprinkling on top
Preheat oven to 375º. Line a 8" square baking pan with foil, leave a little overhang for easier release. Spray bottom and sides of foil. Set aside.
Melt your butter and pour into mixing bowl. Add sugar and salt, whisking to mix them up. Mix in egg, then cocoa and flour until smooth. Pour into prepared pan and bake just until sides begin to pull away from edges - about 10-14 minutes . Do not overbake. Let cool while you make the topping.
To make coconut topping, whisk eggs, sugar and vanilla. Slowly mix in flour and coconut (remember to reserve 1/2 c to sprinkle on top)
Drop by tablespoons over chocolate layer, carefully spread evenly over top. You might have to wet back of spoon to spread  - or wet your fingers :)
Bake until golden and toothpick comes out with moist crumbs - about 25 minutes.
Cool completely in pan. Drizzle with melted chocolate.Using edges of foil, lift out and remove foil before cutting into squares.
Store in airtight container for up to 4 days.

Has anyone done these gluten free? If so, what did you use in place of the flour?
