Chocolate Gingerbread Bundt Cake

I really wanted to make this cake just to get it out of here, you know I am ready to move onto non-wintery baking. Shhh...I know some of you out there are freezing right now but, lucky me it's a warm 64º and full out sun! I've been running around with shorts and flip-flops :D
Anyways, I wanted to get rid of anything on my list that was even a little winter-like. I love gingerbread and I found this over at TK but wanted to change it up just a tad. Adding chocolate always makes things better right?
1/2 c sugar
1/2 shortening
1 egg (beaten)
1 c molasses
2 1/2 c flour (sifted)
1/2 c cocoa powder
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 c hot water
Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten egg and molasses. Sift your dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Mix well. Lastly add your hot water and beat until smooth. Bake at 350º for about 30minutes. I used a regular bundt pan.
After it cooled I melted a little canned chocolate frosting and slathered it on, then using regular white frosting doodled on the top.
Delicious, easy, cute and off my list :) Yeah!
