PB Pie

This is a killer pie if you are a PB fan, and you know I have a "crazy" PB fan here at home. Found this over at Good Housekeeping magazine I think :)
1- 9" refrigerated ready to use pie crust (I actually used a Oreo crumb crust)
3/4 c sugar
1/3 c cornstarch
1 tsp salt
4 c whole milk
4 lg egg yolks, lightly beaten
1/4 c PB (I used creamy)
3 tbsp butter (room temp)
1 tbsp vanilla extract
whip cream
mini PB cups
choc shavings
chocolate fudge syrup
peanuts
Preheat oven to 450º.
Place crust in a 9" pie plate and bake as directed, then cool. In a small saucepan, stir together, sugar, cornstarch and salt. In another bowl whisk together milk and egg yolks until blended, gradually whisk into sugar mix. Heat on medium heat 6-7 minutes or until mix thickens and starts to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute, stirring the entire time. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, butter and vanilla until completely blended. Pour into the prepared pie shell, press plastic wrap onto surface of filling to keep from getting that "skin" on top. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
Garnish with peanuts, fudge, mini PB cups, chocolate shavings and whip cream.
