Chocolate Baked Donuts

Finally caved in to the Donut Baking Pan. They are so cute and I really wanted to try them. The pan I used is a Nordic Ware nonstick that worked beautifully for these chocolate donuts. I just used the recipe that came with pan but I can see Pumpkin Donuts and Apple Spiced ones in the near future :)
1c flour
1 c sugar
1/4 c cocoa
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
1 egg
4 tsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp coffee grains
Chocolate Glaze:
Just mix powdered sugar, cocoa, milk to taste.
Heat oven to 325º, grease pan and set aside. Mix dry ingredients then beat in egg, coffee, milk, vanilla and butter. Beat until just blended.Fill each donut well about 2/3 full. Bake 8-10 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched. Cool 5 minutes then invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Glaze or frost as you like. I just dipped them into chocolate glaze and added sprinkles.

I would think so, never tried it. It might work in muffin tins though. Let me know :)

This is a good base recipe, but the directions don't say to add the coffee, and there's no sweetener?
I skipped the coffee and added about 1/3 cup of sugar and they turned out good!
